Yup, the higher the better. If a games runs with low frame rates, it runs very slow and not-smooth. I don't know what the minimum framerate to make Mohaa playable is. Most games start to run smooth at around 40 FPS (Frames Per Second). I think my fps are quite high. I have a 1,4gig, GeForce3 and 512mb. Never checked the fps, but it runs ok.

Is volumetric smoke better or more beautiful that non-volumetric smoke? And why does it effect your framerate so much?

ir hurts ur frame rate cause it runs ur comp harder to produce and calculate how the smoke looks requires ur pc to do more work which take resources away from other functions like running the rest of ur game and will cause it to be choppy on a ok sys i use the smoke and i have no worries i cannot understand why people on less of a system than i run lower fps people need to learn to tweak but if ur running over a 900 meg processor and over 256 megs ram with a 64 meg video card u can use the smoke with NO slowdown as long as u tweak right

Yes, the more graphic the game is. The more data from you to the server then to the player make more lagg.

I have a 1,1 GHz processor, 448 SDRAM, and a Geforce 2 GTS 64MB, will volumetric smoke kill my (30-40 fps) my frame rate? Or will it improve my game pleasure for the better?

Capt. Miller, how much did your system cost? I need to upgrade mine, just give me a ballpark figure if you would.

Are they connected. Am suddenly seeing a huge increase in lag. Could it be the settings I use like volumetric smoke or will be down to my isp.

How do you check your Frame Rate.
