Default Any Help on this ? - 09-05-2004, 02:45 PM

I just downloaded the PA demo , installed and tried to run it.

I get a popup saying that my system does not fully support Directx 8.1,

Well duh, I'm running Directx 9.0c and I would expect it to be backward compatible is this not the case?

I'm running a 1.60 GHz Compaq with 512 of RAM with Win XP, NVidia Geforce2 MX200. with 64 meg video memory.

Of course I looked in the ini file that said not to modify (and did'nt) but, perhaps someone knows a way to get this thing to work.

I did'nt see my graphic card listed in that file and i suspect thats why I get this error.

Thanks in advance
Mung.

From the demo readme:

"The lower graphic cards aren't supported for the demo, because it isn't optimized and still rough. The final retail will support lower end graphic cards."
