How are the weapons being modeled? WW2 Online uses the only method where the bullet comes out from the actual 3D gun model. Other games use a method not so technically accurate.

While this doesn't really matter, in an overall gameplay sense, I was wondering just how realisic a game your going for?

Will weapons be modeled in such a way that stays true to their historical accuracy? In other words, if I use a MP40, will I have a short range (200 yards at the most!). If I use a Mauser, will I get an accurate reload time, with a far reaching range? Will the STG44 (if it's in the game) be modeled with it's strong recoil?

Also, how detailed are the weapons models. Do they look realistic, or is the graphics department have other priorities? (DOD, even though it's a free mod for an aging game, has some of the nicest weapon models for ww2 weaponry that I have every seen...IMO)

Will we see satchel charges, grenades, entrenching tools, fists, etc., for use on the battlefield, when things get a little crazy?

Can you give another player ammunition? Will ammunition clips be modeled so that if you reload, you toss the whole clip, and can't re-use it, or you keep it, and can re-use it again, once you fire through all your clips?

Will their be scopes, and different types of scopes, with different magnifications?

Will you make the game user friendly, so that others may add in weaopns, from the community?

Just wondering.

that would be very cool if in the game it had an option to load user created maps and weapon mods

Yes, the guns look relistic in my opinion from what I saw on the screenshots. Yes, the STG44 is in the game. No I don't believe the weapons in the game will be as realistic as the ones in WW2 Online. I believe one of the staff at 2015 meanitioned something about the gun realizm a while ago. Satchel charges, sticky bombs and grandes will be in the game(I believe).

Thanks for the answers, guys.

My personal favorite is the STG44, and the Mauser 98k, without a sniper scope. There's just something about defending a city with nothing but a bunch of riflemen, using a gun from WW1, and winning, that appeals to me.

I wonder if they'll model the Eihandgranaten (egg grenade)? No big deal, though. Also, would like to see the Luger, Panzerfaust, Gewehr43 (scope/no scope), FG42, and MG34. Of course, this would take an *** load of time. They have to release it at some point.

Yes, I have, but I don't post there. I keep a low profile.

Hmmm...odd. They classify the FG42 as a machine gun? Not hardly. Classifying the M1 Carbine as a rifle is not right, either. Also, the STG44 is missing, someone else said it was in. If it's not, I'd die!

Anyway, as you say, it's from PCGamer. Thanks for the list, though, most of it seems right.

I believe that was me Yeah Coriolis said that if they did add realistic weapon ballistics, bullet drop over long distances and windage effects it would degrade gameplay and it wouldnt be as fun, Although I'd like to see that realism, it would degrade gameplay and make things just that much more harder. Remember, this game is supposed to be fun, whle being as authentic as possible.

Historically. Stg44's Where mostly boxed and sent to the Ost front in Prefrence to the Western front. You see the Stg44 rarly in the Classic Post Falaise Gap and Ardennes Footage of the "Die Deutsche Wochenschau" Newsreels.

Also, STG44's where not in Normandie and started Showing up around Augest in Very small numbers. So no millions of Squads tricked out with them untill Feb 1945.
