I'm 21 rock:
Also, I can't think of anything that sparks more lively debate than politics. Peoples views are so different and everyone tends to be ready to defend their views.
But then you have people who bitch every day about political discussion. Not that I wouldn't want to hear about politics if I were Irish.. you guys have had a clusterfuck over there for awhile. Crazy folks.

I love politics.
I would say yes except for the fact that it would be flame war after flame war since NO ONE can prevent themselves from lashing out at someone elses views, which is truly sad.
I think it would be a disaster to have that forum. And it would only be used by a select few, half liberals, half conservatives in which nothing good can come.
I'm staying out of the political debates more and more because they just piss me off when people go at each other.
Ane the fact is in these "debate threads" no one is wrong. And when no one gives an inch, all hell breaks lose.
Discussing politics on the internet is frustrating and stupid. Half the things said here would not be said in real life. People get far too angry.
And then we have the "get out of this thread because you're Canadian and American politics don't involve you." That I really don't want to deal with.
I suppose this is a resounding "no" vote from me. If my vote counts for anything that is.
