MOH:AA map editing question -

Okay, I know that this is almost obsolete but I really want to make a custom map. I downloaded the MOHTOOLS and everything runs fine, but I can't get the Q3map.exe to work properly. I've done numerous searches and they all say about the same thing. None of their "solutions" have worked for me thus far. I was wondering if anyone here could help me out.
The problem: I can't compile the map.
When I run the Q3map.exe, I get an error message that states that my:
version is 1.34.
Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!
