Would anyone even come close to competing against these two politicians in 2008? If they ran together as President/Vice President I don't see how they could lose. This is of course assuming Rudy doesn't try to run on his own.

Yeah I see your point, I think I would prefer Powell as well but if Gulliani ran instead it would still be a clincher. Of course who knows what will happen in the following 4 years, not only could the world be a different place but Gulliani's views may no exactly coincide with McCain's.

McCain/Powell yes. I would vote for them if the other ticket was lame. But Gulliani I don't know about him. It seems he just panders to the republican party. He is liberal when it comes to social issues unlike Bush which the fact that he endursed Bush bothered me. I mean he defended Bush when the story of the missing bombs in Iraq broke. He blamed the troops in Iraq saying because of their negligence the bombs were missing in Iraq. oOo:
I know McCain also endursed Bush but he has also criticized him as well. McCain and Powell seem more honest and thrutworsty than Gulliani. Thats just my opinion.

We were talking about this at work. The Republicans have an opportunity to put together a guaranteed 20-year run of controlling the White House.

Bush/Cheney - '00 to '08
McCain/Guiliani - '08 to '16
Guiliani/Schwarzenegger(sp?) - '16 to '24

And so on and so forth. McCain and Guiliani both draw huge support from both sides of the aisle and the two of them paired on a ticket would crush anyone, even the beloved Hillary Clinton.

Come and live with me here in Scotland. It sucks here and it rains all the time, but you can get deep fried Mars bars at any time of the day/night, and men wear <strike>skirts</strike> kilts for "easy access"....(something most women appreciate) beer:
