i was wondering if there was a way to turn a mod into a server side mod.. so that everyone can see what i put into it rather then having to dl it themselves

well, what type of thing are you thinking about? Skins and maps MUST be dowloaded before hand. If you want other stuff like gun mods and stuff, you'd have to run the server yourself and then everyone else will feel the effects of it. As for anything like crosshairs and HUD mods, those are the same as the skins.

text mods are deffinately able to be converted. Actually, they are already server sided. Chich poster might--I'm not sure. It brings me a thought about the algiers mod. All of the sandbangs and health was there even if you didn't download the file. So my answer to chic posters is--probably.

There are a limited number of objects you can use in server sided mods. DogMeat adds several obj to his server sided mod to block the path to glitches.
There was a doc. on adding MG42s to the game. Drop me an email and I will dig it up and send it to you

when i say text mod i mean the display of text.. makin it smaller.. one i had in mind was the liquidfont mod..
you see... im talking about taking mods people have released and make them server side.. like how i went in and turned respawn maps into non respawning maps..
im new to this modding type area of mohaa and im tryin to learn jus lookin for help from the most knowledgeable of all the peeps at the forums..

Place up the list i asked you for on TMT forum and we can say what can and cant be serverside :)

i know for a fact you can mod the crap out of a stock map and itll play fine without anyone downloading anything,,,for example,,,crossroads,,ive a sub in the river,,machine guns and sandbags everywhere,,,cars,,,tanks,,,flack cannons,,,you name it ..all my maps are modded with no need for ddownload,,,anyone who says it cant be done or is just curious,,,stop by BUTCHES ULTRAMAD/NODIALUPS and see for your self,,,when i first got the idea of moddin maps ,,,,they said...its imposible,,,like crap it is....my new project is getting the german shepards to attack players in my game...lmao...i know ....its impossible,,,WE WILL SEE...LOL

RUDEDOG....i know your one of the big dogs around here and i dont want to ruffle any feathers but you said you can only put a limited number of objects in a map....i have a crap load of objects in my maps,,,and they play fine,,,heres a hint for ya...when you get too many objects in a map...at the bottom of your object list in the scr file,,,where the word ..end is...just go below that and keep goin,,,after you get the rest in just put end at the bottom like before,,,they will all show up in the map....check my server out,,,its wild,,,i have fire ,,tanks,,cars,,submarines..machine guns,,,sandbags,,the hardest map to mod is destroyed village,,but i finally broke that code also,,, its wild to say the least,,,stop by,,you might learn somethin...BUTCHES ULTRAMOD/NODIALUPS its on the gamespy list...look me up..BUTCH

DogMeat is the one with the info on placing objects in maps.
I have no clue about the limit.

There's one map-mod that blocks off behind the hotel in the bridge. To the best of my knowledge you can't get under/behind the map from there so I feel it was a bad mod serving no real purpose.
People who hide there are playing with fire (mines) and if they want to blow themselves to Kingdom Kum then so be it. (I only make in 9 out of 10 tries...worse on slow servers) They're also extreemly vulnerable to grenades. Although I like using that spot ,it really is as disadvantageous as it is advantageous.
