ok well i went camping this weekend. It was very very cold. i wore shorts like i usually do. My legs never get cold so it doesnt bother me. we found this cave at the campsite and decided to use that as a place to buikld the fire. There was plenty of venalation so we didnt have any worries about carbon monoxide poisoning. We forgot to factor in the wind blowing into the cave. All of the smoke was blown back into the cave. so our eyes were really red and burning. we had to go on the outside of the cave so we could breathe. we stayed on the outsidde and built the fire really big so the heat would come to the outside of the cave. there was a zipline set up and some people went down it. it looked very very painful when they had to stop. we sat around the fire for basically the whole campout. Went to my tent to go to bed at 7:30. It doesnt seem late but when your camping it feels like 12 at night. i woke up to find everyone packing and leaving (like usual) and i started to pack my stuff as well. I went back to the cave to find my friends still had the fire going. They had gotten it so hot it was causing the rocks above the cave to break off into and around the fire. My waterbottle was about 3 feet awat from the fire and had melted from the heat. thats a hot fire!! well i finished packing and left and was the first one up the huge hill. About a quarter of a mile up a 45 degree angle hill. not fun but i did it in abouit 3 minutes. I couldnt breathe very well when i got to the top so i stopped and rested. I let 3 people pass me. I started hiking again and at about the halfway point i had to stop again because my feet really really hurt. I took off one boot and saw that my foot was swelling up. I quickly put my boot back on because if i didnt it wouldnt be able to fit back in. I hobbled a mile back to where the cars were and fell down from the pain. my parents got back and we went back to the church. I had to put up all the tents that everyone used (yes i was ordered to even with swollen feet.) I finished that then went home. I took off my boots to find the swelling had gone down. damn it why did they have to swell up only when i needed to use them the most. oh well. i dont have it as bad as a group of people that were hiking with us. They forgot their car keys. actually no they lost them at the campsight or in their backpacks. So they are screwed beyond all belief. They called someone with a key so they will be ok but still that sucks to be stuck outside. and they lost the main keys so they have to get more made. ill be mean for a second and say they got owned. some of my friends wanted me to do some dip to while i was there.
