Default MoHAA Tools - Problems with Textures - 08-15-2002, 02:03 AM

Gday

Im having a major problem with MohAA Tools, I have no options to select any textures.

Under the menu "Textures" the last option I have got is "Texture Lock".
Check this page: http://www.dafront.com/~nemesis/textureapply.htm

Ive also followed several instruction pages on how to setup MohAA Tools but still isnt working.

Ive also copied "entdefs.pk3" to the /main directory but again no luck.

Has anyone else had the same problem? or got any ideas on how to resolve this?

Any help appreciated

Are you really sure that the project settings are right?

basepath: c:\program files\ea games\mohaa\
mapspath: c:\program files\ea games\mohaa\main\maps\dm
autosave: c:\program files\ea games\mohaa\main\maps\dm

You will have to change the above if you game is installed somewhere else, example:

basepath: E:\games\ea games\mohaa\

and then the entdefs.pk3 should be in the:

E:\games\ea games\mohaa\main

together with pak0.pk3 - pak6.pk3 that came with the game (in them you have the textures etc).

Does the right click in 2D view give you all the alternatives?? if not installed right you should not have all the options there either!

Ive definately done the following:

basepath: c:\games\mohaa\
mapspath: c:\games\mohaa\main\maps\obj
autosave: c:\games\mohaa\main\maps\obj

entdefs.pk3 is in: c:\games\mohaa\main

The .pak files in the /main dir, I dont actually remember seeing, I will check this out tomorrow night and let you know.

Right-clicking in 2d view doesnt give me any options for textures etc.

Thanks for the reply.

With out the original pak0.pk3 -pak6.pk3 there will be no textures! But you shouldn't be able to run the game either.

the game runs fine, so I guess the .pak files are installed.

I reinstall and go through the setup again. I'll let you know the outcome

Thanks

Right clicking doesn't give you textures, it gives you entities. You might not have something selected in the preferences menu.

I wasn't talking about textures, just wanted to know if all the he had everything in the right click! If i doesn't then it should be the entdefs.pk3 that is the problem.
