that keyboarding class I had was in 7th grade. They'd make us use some program that we couldn't use the backspace or delete key. Also we had these orange ultra-thin opaque rubber covering over the keyboard so you couldn't see the key names and cheat. Now that I think about it, it really helped alot.

In my school I'm forced to take typing class every year, its integrated into computer class. Its gay. I nearly failed one test because I wasn't typing with my feet flat on the floor, although I was typing at around 40-45 awpm.
Also, my teacher got mad at me if I didnt keep my fingers on the home row at all times. I still typed with all my fingers, but my hand moving around the keyboard a little bit, but "unfortunetly for me" I didn't keep all my fingers on th home row, with the exception of the one that moved up to hit the U key or anything like that.
I'm like "wtf, who cares how you type just as long as you type fast, and people aren't going to not hire you for a job that's based around typing just because you type "weird"."
I ended up doing fairly bad in that class last year. sleeping:

I've been doing keyboarding since 2nd grade...
....does anyone remember the Mario game, where to hop you had to press the corresponding letter, and so on? Man, that was awesome. Never taught me anything, though. I taught myself to type, as I only type with my index finger and thumb, letters with fingers, space-bar for thumb.

It really does make things alot easier if you do it properly.

I kinda took one of those classes back in 7th grade. I dont recall ever finishing to but w/e. It sucked and I blew it off and I type how I want to and I think it works just fine for me. It may not be the best way to type but I can type this entire statement without once looking at the key board and pressin backspace only a couple times. so ya w/e. Also I am sittin with one foot under me and another raised onto my chairs brace. so ya I kick ass and can safely say that I typed all this in under 2 minutes. dance:

Coleman insults you because you say stupid shit like this. Maddox is all right, but he's way too full of himself, which affects his funny a lot.
