Everyone is says learn how to fly in single player I figure its a good idea download the thing buts its just a big desert with tanks and stuff. No airplanes or are there more levles?

Practicing by yourself is dumb if thats what they mean. (Creating your own game)

creating your own game is not dumb... that's how i learn my flying...

try learning the perfect take off and landing first... for japs.. you can start take off when you get on the planes coz they are facing the right direction....but for americans... there're 2 runways... one facing north and the other facing south-west... try doing the hard way... position your plane so that it face south-west first and take off from that runway. landing at the airfield base is easy.. just decrease your speed and try to make a touch down at the end of runways... so you have plenty of distance to travel b4 your plane comes to a complete stop. landing at carrier is harder.... you have to position your airplane so that it's align with the flight deck and do what you'd do when landing on airfield....

there are so much more.... if you really wanna know all my tricks pm me... i used to play WW2 flight sim everyday when i was younger so i know a lot of combat maneuvers of WW2 planes and how to shoot other planes down faster... the best i can do now in BF1942 is flying upside down going under a bridge, do a 360 roll, and going under the other bridge upside down again... i can only do it once out of 6-7 tries.. usually fail at the 360 roll coz my plane is too close to the water...

I found the best way to lose a plane is to barrel role, I had some guy chasing me and I did 4 barrel roles and he went starigh into the water! biggrin:

i forgot all the terms for combat manuever but my way to lose a plane off my tail is to dive and go 180, or a 360 depends on situation, i seldom go higher altitude coz the fog is too thick to see anything. if i know he's not a good flyer... i'll fly my plane as low as possible so he'll crash........ and i have to get my ball mouse back coz optical sux for flying.....

i shot down 2 zero, 1 val, killed 2 infantry in strafing and bombed some unmanned vehicles yesterday.. fun!! cool:

Guys just in case you dind't know you can torpedo. Take one of the planes thats got the torpedo on the botom. Go 10 feet above water once the carrier is in sight drop it. If you fly over the carrier you will hear and explosion. If you drop it too late it does less damage and if you drop it from too high it goes under the ship and misses. This does more damage than just droping bombs! biggrin:

btw... can anyone get the real val/stuka style divebombing working? coz whenever i did that i exploded in mid-air

Mohaa on lowest settings is okay for me. I can put battle field on medium settings with a low res. Looks nice
