Ya I know... I'm looking at A64 X2 4400+, 2GB RAM, sli mobo, and 7800/R520 all at the end of this summer... That's going to hurt a bit.
Hopefully I can sell my 3200+, K8N Neo2, 1GB Corsair XMS, and 6800GT for about $1000.

I'm not sure when I'm going to be doing it. I don't have the money for it right now, but I'll definitely keep you in mind if you still want it at the end of summer.

Well, I took out the 500w psu, and plugged in my 290w PSU (Recommended is 300w or higher), I unplugged the floppy drive since I don't use it, and the card's fan is spinning just fine, so hopefully, I won't need to buy a new case.
Edit: Just ran the card through SiSoftware Sandra and she didn't pick up any temperature warnings.
BTW: I have been using Sandra for a while now, and it keeps telling me that one of the fans is spinning to slowly or not at all, even with the 500W PSU (and it is referring to either the CPU fan or case fan), is this just a bug? Because every time I open the case, both fans are spinning just fine.

Yeah dude 4400 and 57`s etc are going to kick ass... but for a 1000 bux? hmmm maybe think about selling that now, because a person whos going to buy that used already knows or should know the value for when the newer shit comes in....
just a thought

we'll see what happens
I have enough for the new parts, it's just that I don't want to spend it because then I'd be broke for the rest of summer...

Am I the only one who is checking the 7800GTx and comparing it to the 6800Ultra and thinking...wtf? I dont see whats worth the extra $100-$200? I mean I do see a gain...I do see a nice jump there in performance...but if your not getting SLi 7800GTx (Which is STUPID to pay $1600) then isn't it a BIT pricey to get a 7800GTx instead of a 6800Ultra? I dunno, I held off on finnishing my new pc so that I could see what the 7800GTx would bring...doesn't impress me enough to drop an EXTRA 100-200 dollars.
Thats my 2 cents
