So far I think Battlefield 2 is a major let down. The game is great but the cornacopia of bugs is just to much to even make it worth while.
annoy:
With any luck there will be a patch out soon that will fix this game up.

Don't forget that BF42 stock wasn't great either. But yeah the bugs are really annoying. I'm sick of the random disconnects and browser freezes.

Yeah the browser is really bad, i refresh it and see a server 60\64 try to get in server is full, refresh again it has 40\64, try geting in again server is full. oOo:
The it brings up pings showing zero somehow or other. Seems evewryone has the ultimate hardon for the ranked servers, the euro ones ive notced are almost always constantly full. Dunno why people play them so much, i guess getting ranked is a big deal. I can almost bet when the rankings work properly some asian or korean freak ends up topping it due to his 450+ hours of playing inside a couple of weeks.

Ingame browser = shit.
I wish they would find a way for ASE to work with BF2.

When BF1942 came was it perfect from the beginning? theres always going to be annoyance and bugs abound in such a huge game like this so i'm not focusing on the small annoyances.....they'll most likely be fixed after people start whining to EA.
You're right tho, the in-game browser is a piece of shit (tho i've had no probs with it) and i rarely ever choose Sniper as its useless, i was standing what would be about 30 feet away from 2 enemy infantry last night and aiming at their head/shoulders and couldn't hit them after about 6 shots!! so gave up and ran to them with grenade in hand......
Hitboxes need a fuckin' tweak cuss:
btw i like the map with the stream running thru it and all the nice mountains in the sunshine but not the small one with no uncappable flags and a small town centre in the middle, its very frustrating........, still need to check em all tho

My few complaints are the menu's which tend to lag or lock on occasions. The missreported servers (60/64=full, 0 ping). Also the fact that "verifiying client data" takes longer to do than loading.
To say that the game is a let down however is stupid. The game itself is good, fun to play, and fairly addicting. The elements that make up the game, or support it are flawed. Fix those so people can play the game quickly and smoothly and i think more people would be less apt to saying "this sucks".
Personally im not blown away by ranked servers. You'll find the same asshatery in them that you will on regulars. I would assume, or atleast hope, that in what ea calls there "superior" ranked servers an honest TK mistake would be forgiven. Not so. They punish when you run them over with a tank becuase they were standing behind it and you made a turn, nudging them to death. Or an arty strike lands a bit to close killing 7 enemy's, but 1 of your guys.
You get my point, and i've got people to meet ingame.
