the demo for Alone in the Dark is out and you can get it at fileplanet . its 200mbs . from what i've played already , its looks pretty good and has much better controls then Nocturne or Blair Witch . i cant compare it to any RE games untill the final game comes out . and i never played the original Alone in the Dark . the only thing is that you cant change the resolution though .

oh, and from what i've heared already ... the acting is horrible , just the way i like it

I've played the original Alone in the Dark's I, II and III.

There was also a hybrid AITD called Timegate : Knight's Chase, which served as inspiration for Michael Crichton's Timeline..

The best in terms of storyline is the first....oh god am I a Lovecraft fan..

The second was also pretty good.

I regret not playing through the third installment yet... maybe I should LOL.

Hey Badscript, what the hell did we install their graphics library setup for anyway ?

Me confused..
and also, there was something at the end of installation about going in safe mode and changing a setting.. what was it again ?

SoL OpenGL is an API developer use for 3d acceleration, like direct 3d, glide, etc. GLsetup install the right driver for your specific video card. Usually you download the glsetup template and it checks what your video card is, and then download the right driver. The full version that BS mentioned has ALL the drivers that GL supports, and that's why it's so freaking big. GL setup only runs on win9x too.

Hope that helps. You can try http://www.glsetup.com/ too
