Most binds involve performing a predetermined set of actions with the depression of a single key.

Lean and strafe, crouch and lean, things like that.

you can bind stuff by inserting lines into your autoexec.cfg file. this will update your other config file on startup.

inserting this line
bind INS "toggle FPS"

should give your Insert key what you want to do.
you can also type FPS 1 in the console or FPS 0 to turn it off again.

ps. i love the image in your signature but the colours seem a bit funny.
