Suicide....why do some do it ?? -
12-26-2005, 06:29 PM
Ok, may not be the best place to ask this but i'm perplexed as fuck.
A good buddy of mine who used to actually live in my house as a kid committed suicide on x-mas eve. The most fucked up thing about it is.....
He never threatened suicide,
had a loving family (wife & 3 daughters)
a decent job (his wife has a great job)
awsome house
always a fun loving guy who adored his kids
While i haven't seen him in a few years, my bro remained close to him. They went out a bunch of times fishing this past year and we (all 3 of us) had made plans to go to my pops place in Florida and spend a week fishing. I spoke with him over the phone just last week and he was estatic to hear from me and was all hyped up to go fishing with my brother and pops. We used to break each others balls over who was a better fisherman and used to tease the guy who caught the least amount of shit. My family kinda adopted him when he was around 12 because his family was so fucked up. My mom and brother are besides themselves over this and my brother went to his house today to spend time with his wife. Problem was, there were no warning signs. Everything in his life was going rather smooth and he was in the middle of painting some room in his house (my bro saw the trim taped up) His gifts are still in the corner with "To daddy" on them and i spoke to another friend today who is also as perplexed as to why. He told me that the guy recently went partners on a piece of hunting land this past week. Why would someone who seems to have all his shit in order just end it all on the worse day possible??
I'm not getting into any further details as to how he did it but i'm sitting here scratching my head and searching for answers. This is bugging my out. Now i have to see him in a box on Wed.......and for what ??

RIP
Perhaps he just thought back to his childhood for a little bit and didn't look to the future, temporarily throwing him into a deep depression? I don't know, but thats a very sad story. annoy:

People get disorders, people feel they lose meaning, people fade away. [/emo]
RIP to your buddy. Some people don't deserve to die.

RIP.
Perhaps it is as Jin-Roh and Blitz said, perhaps he had some childhood mental traumas, and bottled up all of his feelings on the inside, until one day he just snapped.

Thanks for that link. While it doesn't help, it kinda explains things. Perhaps my buddy was fearful. Fearful he wouldn't be able to raise his children the way he wanted to...i dunno. Whatever, he was fearful of something.

You always hear well-off people saying being rich or famous is hell.
The jist is, you've got the stuff you just don't know how to use it.
I'm sorry about your pal Arkan. It really sucks to not know why people do the things they do.

i never understood why people would do such a horrible thing. people do this because of something they think about themselves, but they dont realize that even if killing themself will fix whatever problem it is they have, it will make things 1000 times worse for any of their family. i mean if i loved a girl and we broke up and killed myself over it cuz becasuae of that, i would be hurting so many more people (parents, sister, friends, etc.). so i really dont see the point of it all, and im sure most of you guys dont either...

Ive had a few friends that commited suicide. 2 of them had great lives ahead of them. They had just gotten accepted into college and had moved on campus. A day they were found dead in their dorms. Hung themselves. It is still a mystery. One other friend joined a gang and a year later wanted out. The only way out was to take a revolver and fill all but 1 chamber, spin and pull the trigger.
Sometimes people do it for unknown reasons, or something they had been hiding. Like when you called your friend he seemed really excited. Probably in a deep depression that he didnt even know about.
RIP to your friend.

Aw, alright, I'll be polite....
R.I.P. to the the friend. That's all I really have to say truthfully.... besides the kids you find in middle-school calling themselves "suicidal" are just pure fags, looking for attention..
...thats not like dishonoring your friend in any way, though. He obviously wasnt 12 years old.

It could have been many things. Was he under any influences? Sometimes drugs dont show up, ya never know. He could have just found something out about his childhood, or something that is going to happen, He could have found out his wife was cheating on him, could be one of a million things. Sometimes people just end it.
Sorry to hear about his death. Hope his family is alright after this.
