I'm sorry Ninty, the story said the dash was marked. I wasn't aware that the hood was called a dash in Canada.

More like he is a left wing liberal, same with you, and im not. That is why you think he's smarter than me, because he agrees with what you agree with.

People with similar opinions tend to group together...

[quote:47662]yea because hand signals from a trigger happy soldier are very visable whilst driving[/quote:47662]

Yea that MIGHT be a valid excuse if the driver was a a cabbie driving some couple through the streets of NY at night, after having laser eye surgery.

This is the driver for a Canadian ambassador in a WAR ZONE. If you're driver isnt alert enough to see a freaking American soldier (they are hard to miss - they be the ones with the guns and camo) giving you the UNIVERSAL SYMBOL TO STOP - then you need to review your hiring practices.

[quote:47662]From people who know what they are talking about, surely they are just idiots..right?[/quote:47662]

If the GREEN ZONE hadnt had carbombs go off in it - I MIGHT take what these folks say seriously. But we all know thats not true. So this "oh but its a safe zone" rhetoric is nonsense - as if rules are abolished because its designated "A-OK".

[quote:47662]This doesn't have anything to do with the US Amry specifically, but it describes the mess Iraq is in quite clearly to me.[/quote:47662]

Yawn - start another thread if you want to wax on about the "state of Iraq" - posting that link is nothing more than flogging your junk at a Senior citizen center - one really shouldnt be involved with the other.

Its just pretty pathetic the state of mind a Bush-Basher has to be in to completely convince themselves that situations like these are somehow due to pent up frustrations, or some social defect on the part of American soldiers. Mind boggling.
