How do I make a normal door (non-rotating)?

Hi. Does anyone know how to make a normal door, instead of a rotating one? I've tried everything and I'm all out of ideas. Thanks.

Select the door brush and make it a func_door. then hit N to bring up the entity menu and adjust the needed values. The keys and values are explained in that entity menu. there´s no need for an origin brush like for a rotating door.

Okay, I have no idea what any of that means. Is there a tutorial or webpage with step-by-step instructions and diagrams you could point me to?

By the way, are you Crizz as in blood mod Crizz? If so, nice work.
