Default Good/Tested maps for AA.Com - 09-05-2002, 06:48 AM

Is there a list of "approved and tested" maps for the AA.com server? I don't want to blindly load every map listed on the website and mess up my original load of the game with a non-working map. cry:

BTW, I recently asked of you can install MOH in a 2nd folder, 1 for stock and 1 for additional maps. The answer is "NO". When you try install a 2nd time, you only get the options to Modify, Repair or Remove the game. It will not let you install a 2nd copy of the game.

Thanks for the help, I will take some time to load the AA.com maps and hopefully join the "Good People" on the AA.com server soon. biggrin:

All current maps running on the aa.com game server can be found here:

http://mohaa.xgshosting.com

right now I do not have time to give you links to the older maps but you should be able to find them here on aa.com

I do and will provide links to the new maps as I add them. Sorry about that but I was over my 5 gigs a month limit by 400 meg.

If someone wants to find the rest of the links and make sure they work ( to the correct maps on the server ) I will update, the info and give you credit for your help.

sorry about the mis-information on the second folder, have you tried to log onto your computer with another username and then try and install the game?

Good luck

Did not think of logging in as a different user. Thanks for the tip. I do have another machine that I could load MOH and try the maps before I load them to my Game machine.
I hope to accomplish this soon and join you folks. biggrin:

Hope to see you soon.

What I do now, when upping new maps to the server, I set my time to 1 min.

I let all the maps rotation twice to make sure everything is working ok, then I reset the time to 15 min and open my server up publicly

Too many times I have rushed a server.cfg file out the door to mis-spell a map and have the server crash oOo:

Not to be a pain in the ass or anything, rude, but there's one map we played on the aa.com server last night that was just horrendous. I'm not 100% sure but it might be St. Paul. Everyone was complaining of crappy fps. The map is a jumble of every single map element you could think of. There was everything from fiddles to projectors, haystacks to halftracks, and more. Players were getting stuck behind doors, tripping down poorly designed stairs, and generally running around a map totally confused.

I decided to wait out the last 5 minutes of the map by sitting in a corner of a tower. I was paralyzed by an FPS of 7-9. It was absolutely horrible.

It even garnered more complaints than Snowy Park (which probably should be removed too...).

On the other hand, the Trench was brilliant. Excellent fps, good atmosphere (the dead paratrooper in the tree was a nice touch), and nice hidey-holes. This one's a keeper.

Just my 2 cents.

Sorry about that guys.
I had not tried the maps out b4 uploading them to the server. Just wanted to get some fresh maps up.

I will remove st paul and snowy park.

My brother Hollywood sent me an irrate email this morning complaining about those two maps. mad: LOL

I will remove them tonight and reboot the server in the am.

We weren't complaining Rude , we know you don't have the time to go through all this stuff and we do very much like having new maps to play once in a while . We hope you don't mind our input on them. I don't usually post on the maps but St. Paul is really bad and almost completely unplayable.
