Wasn't Warcract created before Lord of the Rings?

99% of fantasy based games, books, movies, etc. are a rip off of Tolkien. Heres a good clue if there are orcs, elves, and dwarves in it, it's definitely Tolkien influenced. He basically invented the genre as it is today.

hake: Lord of the Rings was created way back in the 20's or 30's by author J.R.R Tolkien.

actually i belive it was closer to the cold war era. I do remember seeing qoutes from Tolkien on the cold war. Saying about he couldn't choose a side because either way, whoever is against you is evil. or someting to that matter.

No it was early. he just had them published in the 50's and 60's.

The Lord of the Rings was published between 1954-56, the Hobbit was published in 1937.
