This is one of my favourite cars as well...It is as close as you can get to a "perfect" vehicle. If I had an extra 70k, I would so buy it biggrin:

If I had a choice between a new z06 or an RS4..........
To be honest, If I had a family to get around and I still wanted something with balls for a daily driver then I would buy one. AND just upgrade the turbo setup, and do a full Remus 3' exaust + chip/ K/N filter on an Audi S4 and you can be doing better then an RS4 for a half of the cost.
AND IF you are going to buy an AUDI do it right !!!!!

My freind owns an A4 Quattro (v6 3.2l or 3.1.. 3.0.. I think**) The thing handles like a dream, and accelerates quite well. Still, it got smoked by my other friends supercharged/blown Z24, which was only putting down 180 to the wheels @ 5 psi.
1. Avoid the old 2.8 v6's dirt slow they are. !
2. Avoid older 1.8t's, the general opinion is previous owners abused them, and that is an engine you can not abuse.
3. I would take an A4, or S4 over a WRX anyday of the week.
4. Used S4's from 2001 to 2004 go for really cheap, you would be really happy with one of those.

Yeah, a used S4 from 2001 is nice, a guy i know just got one a few months ago, had to goto Jersey to get it (hard to find) But the thing is freaking fast.
As far as taking an S4 over a WRX, i would do that anyday. But as far as power goes, the WRX has more power than the A4.

My dad had a TT when we lived in the states. He was sad when we had to leave it.

its too bad audi has such a bad rap for electronic failures. All those nifty features are just going to short out and stop working. As for my dream car: Jaguar XJR, 4200lb of car goodness and does the 1/4 in the same time as the audi, 13.5ish. The main thing that bugs me about the audi is the fake carbon fibre dash trim, blah!

Make it a 2 door and we'll talk. If your going for a family mobile, then i guess. It pains me to see that much potencial screwed over cause the wife is in the car, or your taking the kid somewhere. Sure you can play when there not around, but its just not the same, its like your sneaking it in. "oh man hope the wife doesnt find out what i just did" and all it was is a bit of hard cornering or something.
