I woke up this morning to my dad telling me that my dog I got for my second birthday was out back saying her final goodbyes, I got there just in time to see her pass away.
This is the first time in a really long time I've cried, I just can't imagine what tomorrows going to be like without her there.
Losing a pet is tough, my parents have a dog thats like 17 years old and on its way
condolences

Sorry to hear that. Pets are often part of the family. I had to put down a cat I had for 16 years, it was hard to do. It was years ago but I still think about that cat. Abby will live forever in my mind
sorry to hear that man, how did your dog die? we put our oldest beagle to sleep 2 years ago, but i think about him still and can still smell his fur and hear him howling out there in my head. was your dog sick or something? cancer? at least you got to say bye for a few moments. rip
Edit: That's fucked up, the thing you said about the vet was almost exactly what happened to us...we took our dog to the vet because he started acting really weird, the vet said he had an inner ear infection and he'd be fine, he fucking died an hour later on the kitchen floor.
They expected she had cancer, they didn't actually find any, but her lymph nodes were swollen and her liver was enlarged.
As for the actual death, from what my parents told me she started wobbling, fell over, and she laid there for a few minutes crying, when I came out was about 10 seconds before she closed her eyes and never opened them again.
