the gum thing has been helping me not think about it as much . i have some nicotine gum that has been helping also.
use your urge for something else
Ive always head some people just like holding it. find something else to hold(ur dong)
do other things when the urge hits, run, kill a kid, shoot up heroin

You gotta keep your mind occupied with something. Replace a bad habit with a good one. i.e. Exercise. Or you could take all of that nervous energy and fill up a ton of sketch books. Publish them. Get rich. Buy a bigger trailer home.
