every time i try to run a dedicated it server it runs to a point in the console and stops and then shuts down with and error is there any way i can stop the console so i can see ther error before it shuts down or find a log file

I can't think of the command right now, but until someone does, try taking a SS of the error real quick. I'm almost positive the actual game console, once the game boots, shows all of the loading messages as well.
