Default Spearhead NEWS: Official word on Lean/Strafe! - 10-14-2002, 04:31 PM

Here it is guys, from Chris Shelton himself
[quote:a2182]He's the clarification on the lean-strafe. By default, this "feature" is turned off. However, server admins may re-enable the feature if they want to. The choice now goes to the admins, hey it's your server, play how you like.

I must say I'm glad to see EALA putting the power in the hands of the admin. I'm definately behind that 100%

I don't bind my lean/strafe together, but I do use a 5 button mouse with the sides bound to lean. I'm interested to see if I have to adjust my playstyle based on if this variable is on or off.

Yea I agree this is a good thing, I dont bind either, really hinders your game. But the big question is in match play will the lean be taken out of match play or kept. That is yet to be seen.

Very good. EA is finally realizing the admins should hold the power of god on their server.

Let them decide EVERYTHING!

Good job EA, not what else do they have up there sleeve for us.

The reason there giving the admins so much power is because on-line Mohaa success is probably a surprize to them. So after all our bitching and moaning they are listening to us... but there gonna sell our ideas back to us for 30 something bucks. Simply given an SDK modders may have been able to do the same. Shit we have parachutes that can be modded in and drivable vehicles. EA has done nothign but package our ideas into an expansion.

And we the poor dumb bastards will buy it... Yes it is on my buy list... damn im weak.

Just wondering if you have seen porblems like this, or anybody[running away from the topic hear]

But yah good, I know a lot of poeple don't like the 'leaners' and frankly I don't like the 'bind-leaners' but lets not get into this conversation, I am just glad that is in an admin choice -- Long Live the Lean

I don't like leaner and i don't lean myself . But whiout that i think a lot of player going to quit .

I think if the fix the LEAN power UP of the gun all will be ok .

I don't think a lot will lean as they do right now if the powerup of the gun is fix.

Leaning is totaly unfair and buggy.

If you use my guide for WinME let me know how it goes, MS's mouse software should work the same for everything but ME is a weird creature.

(thanks for the linkage RD
