If you want to make your own custom skins for example all you need to do is make a .pk3 file such as pak6.pk3 with the new skins in it. As long as you keep the same folder structure as the pk3 file that has the old skin in it. The game will load the contents of your pack instead of the original.

Thanks a lot man. I see it opens in winzip. So say I want to modify the look of a the rifle clip, all I need to do is to make another clip_rifle.tga file, and replace it in pak1.pk3? Or can i just give it the same filename and make my own patch called pak7.pk3?
