Steam. fucking annoying.

K, heres the deal. i bought the retail dod not too long ago, and now ive decided to play it a bit, on steam. But i guess i created another account earlier, using the same cd key. forgot about that, and went ahead and created another, using the same cd key. so it gives me this error, "duplicate cd key" used by another account. So, i find the name and password for the old account, log in, put in the cd key, and it gives me the same shit. piss me the fuck off, any ideas?
