BTW, I dont know whether some of u are being serious about hitting a kid, but threatening/abusing a kid is definetly not the right way to set him straight. A lot of parents really dont know how to be good parents, they get excited to have kids etc, promise themselves thell be good parents, but when the time comes they end up failing to understand them, which leads to problems.

i'm sorry but i have to disagree with most of what you just said. im now 18, and i havent gotten spanked or hit in years by my parents. but back when i was 12 and younger, i did. and ill tell you it is alot more effective to do that then just yell at your kids. grouding them is another effective way, but spanking is the best. i never talked back to my parents and pretty much always listened to them because if i didnt i get smacked. talking is usually not effective at all imo

What you just did was gave an example of one person(not trying to attack you in anyway)...you cant really say that spanking all bad kids will fix the problem. Different people means different characters. I do agree that some spanking might be needed but not for everysingle time. Some spanking my work for some kids and some talking my work for other kids or maybe some of both would do the work.
