works differently  when it comes to sprites and avtual objects but usually  
  
sprites wouldb like muzzle flash   
and objects would be like bullets comjng out of chamber or shotgun shells   
so the 
 
 
1.spawn rate of  the  fire would  be how much fire comes out when u pull trigger  
2.scale will mean what size the sprite will be scaled to like  u can have it big as a flame thrwower or small as a derringer fire  
3.life  is like how long the flame will linger in the air sometimes u can have the flame  stay  in the air until the end of the map lol or dissappar a few seconds later  
4scale rate would be how much spawn rate happens
