90 % of "martial artists" do get their ass kicked becausev they never really learned shit while training. The ones that do know there stuff, aka brown belt + = will kick your ass.

They recently had a special on martial artists, they took some of the top martial artists in the world and tsted them, 1 guy could kick with 3200 pounds of pressure per sqaure inch.. the other guy could hit for 2800 pounds of pressure per sqaure inch. They hit the bag so hard the sensor snapped in 2. I know one thing after seeing that, taking a kick like that in any fight is a one shot wonder type hit on most people.
