Second: the sv_maxping cvar doesn't kick people off with high pings. It only limits who can join. Third: Apparently throughput varies across regions. In our area, cable connection on average provides a 1.3mps down and 300kbps up. Dsl is significantly lower. ISDN is difficult to get. just my 2cents
