Do you miss the Naval side of BF1942 in BF2?

Obviously things have changed, its not 1942, things are now focused more on close urban combat, etc but I used to love driving the ships around in '42, crashing them up on The Battle Of Midway island pissing everyone off, haha

I also liked sinking ships with my plane.......apparently for the new patch EA/Dice had been testing it on a map called WakeIsland2007 on a server called Stats love you. Hopefully they'll release new maps soon enough with plenty of diversity in em. I just think driving a ship full of squads around, dropping them off at key points would be great.

Also the Mods seem to be progressing nicely from the screenshots in the news section of http://www.totalbf2.com I can't wait but realistically i'll have to, I'm betting these [total conversion] mods will take at least a year to get really going...

So, miss it much or will you cope seeing less of the sea-based combat?
