Like I said, movies dont have to try and "change the world" or "make a point" to be enjoyable. JEEPERS CREEPERS knew EXACTLY what it was - dumb quick fun. Sorry MACHETTE but I dont have to have my movies carry with them some silly "oh look how informed I am" weight to them. . .but hey, if name dropping TCG and SYRIANA get you some mad liberal art school pussy - go fucking nuts.
That still doesnt make the movie anything other than a plodding, boring mess. Great - third world countries are suffering under [inserthere]-epidemics, and being taken advantage of by ethically challanged multi-nats. Woohoo - you still could have had the same message and made it interesting.
