The guys thought he was a fag; the girls thought he was revolting. Sometimes, you just won't be able to fit in with the cool kids crowd. If this happens to you, just don't give a shit. Be a neutral guy who doesn't stick to one clique. You'll gain the respect of a lot of people and girls will think you're cool.

4) Don't be afraid to do unique and crazy shit and show school spirit. I know this contrasts with the don't try too hard aspect, but at things like Pep Rallys and such, if you come up with unique shit to either bring or wear chances are the girls will want to be around you so they can mooch off of your good idea. Then that will make you look good. Same thing goes for any other school activities. The most popular dudes in high school were often those who had a lot of school spirit.
