No idea what your talking about mate.

[quote:e0581]how are you liking the d50 tgb?[/quote:e0581]

Im liking it so far - alot. The previous camera I had was a Canon A75 (which I thought performed very well), and has lasted me a long while, but I felt that it was time to step it up, what with the limits that I was seeing in some photos I had tried to take. Shit that I never thought could be pulled out of a scene, Im able to do with this camera, and I think I grabbed some really fabulous pictures from our trip to Salt Point Park; again photos I wouldnt have even bothered attempting to get with the A75 - but Im sure that fact is obvious to this group. Cameras light to me (or should be to anyone not with brittle bones) - came with the standard lens, so while I could get a nice shot of the bannana slug up in the tree - getting a picture of the hawk in a couple of my coast pictures was a no-go. I think I might be getting a Telephoto/Macro lens on the cheap in a couple days though. Definitely am getting an IR filter before my trip to Japan.

Technically speaking, my knowledge about "apetures" and "shutterspeeds" are limited, and Im reading up on it so that I can go beyond "point and shooting" to grab some great shots - so that learning curve is definitely there, but it doesnt feel like a "Haha - dont know about photography - fuck you, you cant use me!". I grabbed Understanding Exposure, and read that on the way up there, and alot of stuff Ive seen (with the A75) is becoming clear to me, and Im seeing that - based on F's and Shutter Speeds, I can do a lot more with this camera.

My only nigglers is that theres no auto B&W mode and sometimes I cant take a shot. Someone on the trip told me I needed to shoot in NEF if I wanted to be able to properly adjust the B&W on some of these photos - so Ill just do that in the future for B&W shots I want. I also dont know why, but if the Viewfinders in focus (indicated by a lil dot), sometimes itll still refuse to take a shot (and not give you the A-Ok beep). I have yet to figure out why this is, and the manual isnt all that hot.
