The essence of all religions is faith. One definition of faith is: Belief that does not rest on logical proof or material evidence. Early in human history faith is all we had to explain most of our world. Modern day humans have learned much since then, eliminating the need for faith in things that we've proven scientifically. On the other hand, what happens when you trace the origins of everything back to the very beginning of it's existance? You end up at God. The beginning of our universe is the Big Bang (in theory). Where did all the matter, the elements, everything that makes up our universe come from? It just appeared one day from nothing? Bullshit. The only possible answer is God.
