[quote="ST_Bazooka_Joe":0455e]Ill be honest. There have been times Ive prayed to god for things, and they have come true. So, for that, I believe there is a god.
What I dont believe in is religion. Yes, theres a god. No, there's not the whole system that was setup through the church, the bible, etc. That's my theroy anyways.[/quote:0455e]

I have something I could witness to all day, what does someone with no belief witness to? Just a question... what can you witness to? What has helped you along the way?[/quote:21100]
Since I'm a living organism, all I need to do is live, and if I live, I'm a pretty happy camper. I don't need to witness to anything.

"God" was created by people who knew nothing...they created god's to have hope, and something to believe in. Their message and ideas just grew so strong that it lasted until this day....Most of it makes little sense. And the main thing is that everyone back then did not only know nothing, but they then passed these stories on from town to town, and let these rumors become even more imaginative.
Funny how people could talk to god back in the time of Moses and Abraham, and do all sorts of mysterious and divine things....but we see none of that today...
And what about other religions? Buddhists? Muslims? They believe in other things. Who's right? Are we right? And everything they believe in is lies? So we have a heaven, and when you die God makes sure you're not a muslim or buddhist before letting you into "his" heaven?
I want to believe. I want to go to a heaven. But it just becomes more and more difficult to believe as we become more intelligent.

To create more life. How was it created? It created itself due to a perfect environment for life.

What makes you think I need to read the bible? I took religion for two years at a Catholic school. I think I got my fair share of both sides. We even studied the differences and similarities of religion and science....Science had much more logical explanations....while, as always, the religious arguments always seemed to rely on faith and believing. Most of the time they didnt make sense.

Spiritual matters are mostly always subjective in nature: hence the lack of
empirical evidence. I've experimented with astral projections and honestly,
I can't deny the things I've experienced, considering the fact that what I
"saw" while out of body was corroborated by family members: how could I
see things they did while not being anywhere NEAR them when it happened
if I wasn't out of body for real ? Are you suggesting my ears somehow
picked up on EVERYTHING they were saying and heard and that I made up
the images in my head from there ? I don't think so man...
Science has answers for everything physical, but the meta and supra
physical is a whole different ballgame son: you shouldn't throw away
these things away right off the bat for lack of evidence because...
"Lack of evidence is not evidence of absence."
