I don't like to see so many people use shot guns and rockets. Sometimes, too many of them will ruin the game for us. However, I have no problem with it in a sense that it's a war game. During the war, all these weapons were used. Plus, MOHAA is a great war game for people to use weapons like shot guns and rockets. It's fun, and can help get a big score really fast.

Here's what i do. When i'm tired of seeing so many shotties and rocket mans, I go to servers with realism on. People barely use these two weapons on those servers mainly because they can't possibly win with what they get. That's why i love realism. It's real. hehe. anyway, see you guys around.

Rockets were anti-personel weapon in WWII, trust me, as a history buff and a WWII reenacter. Not just anti-personel, anti-pill box, anti machine gun enplacement, to stop(or protect) a roadblock, what ever.
As for the game...roadblock is about it for right now. However, Scorpio(the same guy that got the tanks to work) is working on some wicked new weapons. If you hate the rocket, ur probably gunna hate the mortar, now try to tell me that IT wasnt anti-personnel.

i dont mind rockets or shotguns, thier part of the game, im a sniper, i have loads of people complaining about sniper rifles. usually people complain coz thier gettin whooped. now if its ruinin a game e.g a mass of axis rocket launchers on destroyed village (man that hurt) then yeah i dont like em. but otherwise their part of the game, like it or lump it.

I looked at your problem and to all the awnsers and i think ist all BS.
If you get killed by a shotgun you suck if get killed by a Rocket you Suck.
When playing MoH only the best win (thats me) en lozers loze (thats you).
I have played the game from the start and got good realy good
just walk safe and look sharp then ther is no one who can kill you and
you will be doing the killing.
Now if you where playing agains me ill be shoting the flie's of you head
and shoving a stickgranade in you ass now go play pockemon you sissy.

all weapons should be fair if they came with the game. but i'll say it again if you wanna talk realism, then 1 or 2 rockets/shotguns per team should be reasonable i think, but anymore is just sorta silly. I'm not 100% sure but i don't think German regiments were ever issued shotguns, or very few anyway. I'm also pretty sure that both the bazooka (allies) and the Panzershreck (axis) required 2 people to fire them, later in the war the Germans developed Panzerfaust, which one man could fire, but i believe had only 1 round. so i dunno....just play!

I can't believe this comes up as often as it does.

Shotguns, rockets and camping are all part of the game. Each has its time and place to be utilized. No one gives a shit if you like it or not...this is war. Put up or shut up.

when i'm playing MOH, there is nothing that makes me as mad as shotguns do. why dont u guys learn how to aim!!!! its not that hard to use a shotty, it only shoots like 20 pellets out at once in a gigantic spray. rockets on the other hand, dont get me that steamed, cause soldiers actually used them on the battlefield. rocket guys are easy to kill and they wind up blowing them selves up eventuall so who cares? shottys are for people who cant aim. EA shouldnt have allowed shottys for MP, it ruins a good game. now-a-days, your lucky if you can go into a server w/ out shotguns. i use all weapons except shottys and rockets, because i want a challenge and i actually have to practice. ending this with a few words: SHOTGUNS ARE FOR PUSSIES!!! YOU ALL SUCK!!! (truth hurts)

Can I just say that describing bad stuff as 'gay' all the time offends a lot of gamers just as if you called negative things 'black'.

Please bear this in mind that with so talk of things making you look gay or weapons being gay etc etc etc you are really sending out a message to folks..

Yeah Henry, i hate that too, i think i learned when i was like 12 that describing negative things by using groups of people is offensive, and it make the person who says it seem careless of other feelings, wait... did that sound gay? LOL, seriously i do hate that, it is pretty insulting to gay people, anyway you look at it.

At first while I still was a n00b I felt deeply frustrated when I encountered
I guy with a shotgun, especially in a door or some other tight space.
But as I played MOHAA more and more I learned how to avoid them effectively, try
not to get into close proximity of the blaster and everything works out like a charm
(if youre not a pisspoor SMG user that is :P )
Also...just aim for the head and in a matter of no time the enemy is successfully
'disabled'.
Shotguns have 2 weaknesses, they don´t have range and they take some time
to reload.
By this I´m not saying I manage to defeat a shotgun user all the time, far from it...
but at least I have increased my odds a notch or two and I don´t get pissed
of at them anymore (Read: all the time :P)

Rockets on the other hand...that´s another story, makes my thestosterone levels
go way up and I really feel like punch someone on the nose.
Rockets have no place in MOHAA, use grenades instead.

Ok for the ppl mad at the rockets and shotguns get over it. Their just part of the game. Dont sit there and cry about it. Why dont u show how its done on the battlefield instead of crying about it here.

I could kill you quicker with a shotty than you could me with a SMG. The reason being is that most waste a whole clip trying to hit you from a distance. By the time you are done reloading, its too late. Boom!!! Keep it in mind......all weapons take talent to master. Dont matter how accurate or strong they may be. I'll even go as far to guess that you use the shooty too!!!
