It is a good movie, one of the best, but you people don't know that because niether tom hanks, tom seizmore, or mel gibson is in that movie

Personally i like alot of old war movies. Patton, The Longest Day, A Bridge to far. Great stuff. My vote goes to A Bridge To Far.

SPR is on right now, I got a laugh when Ryan says "they're tankbusters, P-51s"
If a grunt could ID one plane as a tankbuster it would be the P-47 Thunderbolt, they were the grunt's best friend in the European theater.


BTW, how did Miller die? it looked liuke he just got shot in the hand and then got the wind knocked out of him by the explosion.

Battle of the Bulge was great for it's day, but the gore and realistic enviroment in SPR outdid it, until BoB was made.
