It isn't working for me.

I had to go into the filter.txt that I dl'ed from the site and change the pathname for spearhead, so now the icon appears in the gamelist for ASE, whereas before, it was just a folder, but, it still isn't working. I deleted the spaces, and it didn't help.

Any tips would be great!

Thanks guys!

No there not suppose to be mixed in with MoH:AA, many people got it to work the right way. Im sorry I cant help but all i can tell you is that you might want to clear ASE and start from the begining. I cant help you simply because I dont know what filters you have for your ASE. Try by installing a default ASE and then apply the fix.

People make sure u don't put up mirrors without my consent.

I love for my information to be free, so i am hoping before a mirror is being put up people contact me first.
The reason is because i don't want my information covered with all kind of popups when people go to it.
So at least the page where my mirror info is make sure there are not more than 1 if not none at all.

On my official mirrors including on -]EcM[- LudA's of course u won't find any popups.
(maybe one but if there MIGHT be one it would not be in our power to put it on or off).
I can assure you it would not benefit me thou.
Again official mirrors are here:
http://spearhead.4ee.com

http://spearhead1.4ee.com
http://spearhead2.4ee.com
http://spearhead3.4ee.com

The internet has to be free, cause that's the way it's meant to be.

Getting my own filters.txt is recommended.
But if u have other games installed and use ASE make sure u edit yours, it is probably the best
way not to get in problems. Should not be so hard i think the screens help.

Also close ASE and then save the filters.txt then open ASE again to make sure ASE
won't overwrite it itself (rarely if ever would happen, but it is not impossible).
Also when u install updates make sure u back up filters first if u install updates.
You will prolly have to do it all over again but it is a simple process once u do it one time.

Seeing as how you don't want people to mirror your information with out asking. Maybe you should ask The Coalition To Save ED!.
If you can use the information he figured out.
1 if version ~!= "*Medal*" remove
2 if protocol == "15" goto 4
3 remove

Without it this wouldn't work.

It seems a little strange to tell people not to mirror your ASE fix.
When the main reason it works was figured out by someone else.

Dude if i would be asking for money from you then you should complain.
You don't like it don't use it i did not ask you to use it! Keep using the lame GSA. But don't come here posting your bull !
Just quit the crap man !
To start trouble you are good at i see. And that little 6% of the process vital code above was discovered by FuGiTivE i belive.
And about the miroring i really care when people mirror to exploit others,
by showing all kind of popups and spam (i have a reason to believe you are one).
I trully don't mind if someone mirrors my information. I only want to make sure no ads pop.

Asking is a polite way.
But i should not tell you that cause that is your mom's job, if she can do it well*?.
I want no gain so no other people should make any money or bull out of it either.
I want it public domain and treated as such. Not a money maker.
Just because everyone wants it, i do not want users to be exploited to get it.
Is that clear to you now???

Calm Down... No Need To Double Post To Make Your Point.
I only asked a simple question.

The earliest post I found about the filter.txt was on the ASE forum.
The earliest post about the new filter info is from here.

You seemed a little overboard on the
don't mirror me... don't mirror me....
When it's based on information offered by other people from here and other forums.

I think your concern that someone would use this as you put it "a money maker" is a little misplaced.

WTG Druid. It's not like it's intellectual property! It's just a freakin' filter. I saved it as an HTML page on my local sys.

Vip4eE just cool your jets a bit. Also please use a grammar checker next time before posting, or did you intentionally mean to sound like Yoda? "To start trouble you are good at i see." Huh? oOo:

Added: Anyway, thanks for the good info and intentions Vip4eE, even though you're way too paranoid about people linking to mirrors...

Hey man!

I want to give thanks to you for this procedure. But! I dont like your approach! Your link was dead over more than one day, I've uploaded it to a popup free server WITHOUT any freakin changes (eg. the author's name, or else) . Just because more people wanted it!

So, I've mirror it for the people, who cannot reached your dead link. The autjor's name stays your name: -]EcM[- Vip4eE, so you do not incur any loss from it...
