I am curious about mafia, too.

NOLF2 - pretty game, but too much looking, not enough action.
Need for Speed Hot pursuit 2 - MP is buggier than SH.

Not interested in UT2003 or BF1942

6. HL and CS

all of those are pretty good. but i find that SH has the most to offer.

Check out Civilization III if you like those types of games. There's nothing like ruling the world! I have yet to try the Play the World expansion. I can't quite grasp how you could play MP Civ...too many scheduling conflicts...but who knows...

I'm looking forward to Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell. That game looks great! I played the Metal Gear Solids to death and SC looks to be even better.

Very Good. A little short, but I would recommend it to anyone.

IL-2 Sturmovik is a totally kick-ass flight sim. Best on the market, hands down. I've had it for like 8 months and I still can't stop playing it.

Other than that, I haven't seen anything on the shelves demanding that I buy it lately.
