I don't think you can add custom weapons to the game, yet.
I have a set of 506th PIR Paratroopers who have US flag patches on their arms. I can't remember where I got them, but I can email you the file. The set contains:
-medic
-radio op.
-private
-pfc
-corporal
-sargeant
-platoon sargeant
-lieutenant
-captian
