This really gets old, you go into a server and all its seems like you see is "shotty whore" "camping pussy" "rocket fag" "smg bitch". Come on give me a break, the only weapon I don't hear people complain about is the KAR rifle, but rack up some kills with that and you see " cheater".

I gota news flash for all you whiners, There are plenty of servers out there. I am sure that you can find one that fits your needs. If you don't like the one your on go some where else. Why is it my responsabilty to make sure you enjoy yourself while playing at the expense of me enjoying it myself. If the admin did not want that weapon on their server they would take it off. If its available its fair game. Adjust your game to fit the situation.

You can always rent a server yourself and set it up with anything you want. But until you do STFU.

that must mean I'm a genius, because I get on average 3-1 to 2-1 kill to death when using rockets on CKR.

I think that everyone should use the weapon he gets the most enjoyment out of. The only thing I dislike about bazookas or panzerschrecks is that they can lag servers if too many get in a game. oOo:

I've been told but people running servers that rocket lag is an urban legend.

I would beg to differ. You can have nothing but rifles on a server and it runs fine. Let several people come on with rockets in a server that is crowded and the lag starts(granted this is on a regular computer vice a T1 connection or higher). I've seen it happen plenty of times. biggrin:

Not all weapons require time to master. The shotgun being one of them. If it took you time to master this, then u must be slow...or bad. Just go running around corners blasting people. And WTF are you talking about after they miss with the shotgun it's easy to kill them. NOO! Maybe after they miss 5 times, but certainly not just once. The firing rate is not slow enough to kill them. so DONT BE GAY!

I agree that rockets, shotguns, and also the gewehrgrenate are very n00b like weapons. On our server, we have them disabled (only the nades on the gewehr, not the rifle itself) So if you are looking for a server that doesn't allow them hook up with the {sKs} Spearhead server (IP 66.227.96.16:12300) and we can have some fun. It is one of the Top 5 most played servers out there, averaging more than 1200-1500 people per day.

Myself, I only use the rifle and occasionaly the smg. 95% of the time I am using either the Mauser or the Mosin Nagant rifle. Certain maps just don't allow for rifles so you have to switch. I understand that some people do like rockets, etc and there are servers for that. I don't understand why someone comes on a server and bitches that people do/don't allow a weapon. Whoever is hosting the site is paying for a server that you come and play on for free so they have every right to do as the please. If they want to allow only pistols so be it, you can't really complain. There are HUNDREDS of other servers out there you can play on. If you don't agree with a particular servers rules then leave and go play on a different one that caters more to your styles.

I personaly hate shot guns and rockets unless there is a realism mod. I just dont think people with rocket launchers should be able to run as fast as some one with a pistol. And shot guns should have their power and accuracy limited at longer ranges. But lets face it if you get shot even in real life wiht a shot gun or zooka: at close range chance are you wont live so shut up and just play.

Rocket noobs? You are joking right? Here are the advantages of using a rocket:

1. You can be somewhat off with your aim and still kill the enemy.
2. If used in close quarters it is very effective.
3. Great close to mid range weapon.
4. Great to use in clan matches with back up as it holds choke points to deny entry to other clan in vital entry/exit points.

Disadvantage:

1. Very slow reload
2. 6 rocket max ammo
3. Very poor aiming at long distances
4. In the hands of the wrong person can be a tking nightmare.
5. You walk around very slow with this in your hands.
6. Switching from rocket launcher to pistol takes a long time.

Its easy to kill a rocket. All you have to do is time your jump right. If the rocket guy is reloading and has no back up the majority of the time he should be for sure dead. Sniper vs. Rocket at long range...sniper should win everytime. With a machine gun you should own a rocket too long range or in very open terrain.

I'd be the first to admit that a server where the majority of players are just using rockets is lame......yet still its extremly funny to see people flip up in the air when they die at the hands of a rocket lol. Also playing in a clan match vs. 6 rockets is in my opinion gay.....but for every tactic there is always a counter-tactic.......

I think the whole rocket noob and shotgun noob is old already. In my opinion the true noob is the person who complains about any weapon or can't use his skill to defeat another weapon.
