Tanks & Armored Fighting Vechiles -
12-23-2002, 10:24 AM
My friend from work bought me this book for X-Mas called The Enclyclopedia Of Tanks And Armored Fighting Vechiles. It has great pictures of vechiles from1015 and on. Over 900 different ones, alot of different countries. While I'm at work, if anyone needs any vechile pics scanned, just post the nomenclature and country, and I'll scan it.
Because of Dk666's svr limitations, they are in 800X600, and can't be at the best resolution. If anyone has space I can upload them to, or give me your email, I can email any of the pics @ any resolution. PhotoShop sucks, so I couldn't get the rear-end of that Abrams either.
Example: M1A1 Abrams Tank, US

Hrm. .. would it ghetto if the book didn't have it? All I see is the Tiger I and II, and the VK1602. You know the nomenclature?

I think he means Panzer tank, which is not in here. There is a Panzerjager, which is a tank destroyer, and a Panzerhaubitize 200 SPH, which is also a howitzer.

It's a HP, suprisengly.
I like it though, because it has the top feed tray, so it just grabs the next page and scans it.
Those scans were @ 600DPI.

no wonder you can't find it, "panzer tank" does not exist.
the Germans designated their tanks "Panzerkampfwagen" (Panzer for short) followed by a number.
saying just "panzer" in a German conversation means any tank, including those not of German design, there was not one specific design called the Panzer.
the "panzer tank" in MOHAA is actauuly the Mk IV, but EA are a bunch of illiterate idiots who should read more books instead of watching movies for research.
try looking under full name "Panzerkampfwagen IV"
