all i have to say is... its an fps on a console.. how can any of those be considered console game of year? seriously the fpsers on console are never any good compared to PC fps. 3rd person adventure/action have always been a best for console, from mario to max payne.
It is not a first peson shooter. Its a 3rd/1st person hybrid, the first of its kind i might add, have a read f the review to find out whats so different about it.
The first of its kind? I believe Jedi outcast introduced that and also Metal Gear Solid 2 and im sure others before these. Say ur sorry before i take out the ball gag and whip![/quote:1865b]

Nope, mgs2 only had first person mode when standing still with a pistol\rifle you couldn't move around. Jedi was basically a first person shooter where metroid is an adventure orientated game even though its mainly in first person mode. People see metroid and think, oh another fps game, but its a whole lot more than that. LIke i said read the review here and find out whats so different

Jedi was an adventure orientated game. But thats beside that point. Metroid just built on the idea of mixing 1st and 3rd person views. I agree that it goes beyond other fps but its still not the first 1st/3rd person game.
