Alright, from reading several posts on the topic, i found that *most* of you dont think its cheating to force models with custom but non-neon skins on. As you all know we get holy hell from autokick, so i want to know how do i change the names of the skins so that dumpuser or whatever that f'n bot uses wont pick them up? If possible, explain it to me in detail cause im new at modding and stuff. Thanks a ton-

ilete2k

Now look, i dont plan on using neon skins, just regular clan skins for my clan pack. its nice to no get booted when i use them. All of u guys need to help those who are new at this and pass down some knowledge. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks again eatthis: swordfight: zooka: fire2: bigzooka: M16: M16: M16: M16:

Well, while you may not be using neon-skins, I would respect the wishes of the server owners and not force custom skins. While you are not cheating in the normal sense of the word, it is still breaking the rules of the server if they only allow stock skins.

Noone will help you on this subject guy. See, 90% of the people here have half eatin bails of hay up there a$$'s. Some people live there life around this game and have close to 10000 posts. Those same people almost have a heart attack when you tell them that you have a sound mod installed in your own game that you bought. It's considered an "unfair advantage" in the eyes of a PC NERD. Yes i play the game, but i dont turn my speaker volume all the way up, watch tv, then when i hear that i have a new email message and its from aa.com, run as fast as i can to the computer and type some more BS like half the people here. Dont get me wrong, there are alot of cool people here, but i think that so many people have to realize that this is a PC game. A game. Thats it. You play it to get away from your normal everyday life, not to make this your normal everyday life. Once that happens, you know you either (A)Have to find a girl (B)Have to find some friends or (C)You have to move out of your mothers house. So all in all, lighten up people. You all know who you are hake:

i never get booted, i have one on axis, one on allys, one of them is saved under same name as old skin so as to replace it, other is simply a skin, it works fine.

*Bumps the topic*

HUh?! I don't get it, I know I am a n00b, I just _bought_ the game a week ago, and hardly know anything.oOo:

Still I want this explained by some kind person here:

*What's a neon and non-neon skin?

*While reading this thread it made me think if you enable "force skins" or whatever, people can see your custom skins. Is this true? I know many threads out here say it's not, but else, I don't get what force skins means. PLEASE explain.oOo:

change the name on the tiki, its in the models folder. say the skin's name is allied-dday-captain

open the pk3 with pakscape or whatever, goto the models folder, then just
change from allied-dday-captain.tik to whatever you want the name to be. you have to change both of the files in that folder name's but leave the ui on the end of the 2nd one.

the other alturnate is to open the shader file for the (came with game) player skin you want to change and change the tga file names to the ones you want it to use.

extract the skin with winzip to your desktop but do not close winzip.

then open the folder labled models then the sub folder player then alter the name of the to files in there to read Allied_***.tik and Allied_***_fps.tik or replace allied with german_ replace the stars with the skin name

then go back to your desk top highlight all 3 folders (models, scripts and textures) and then right click select add to zip and then ok.

if you have not closed winzip you dod not need to refinf the orginal pk3 file now go into game and select the skin name you have changed to.
