Strik0r, most of the stuff you say is valid, but when you say that revolvers are more accurate than SMGs, why is that a problem? That's how it is in real life.

it was a play on how BS accurate the smgs are in spearhead. i've popped people left and right at long range with the nagant revolver before and it's dumb. but that's not very surprising for EA.

I believe it's a bug with the "JEEZUS, I just got shot" animation that EA incorporated into SH.

When you get shot, the model should react...just not with an animation like you just stepped on a Slip n' Slide.

The biggest problem is that Spearhead was supposed to be an expansion, not a mod. There was no reason to put in new physics and retarded glitchy animations.

I have noticed that Holland and all of the TOW maps really lag servers and give horrible FPS. I run a G4 Ti4400 and Holland drops my fps down to 30 (usually i run about 70-90 fps)and I can only imagine what it does to people with lower model video cards. I think Im gonna remove that map from the rotation.

I have a GF1 and on moh it ran at about 30fps...

Now on SH, it runs at about 60fps... so they've done something for it to run so quickly..

and the TOW maps are fine for me, no probs there.

Anyone that complains about MOHAA's original run spead (which is now the Spearhead default run speed BTW) is a noob..

You have no idea what makes this game popular if think the run speed is to slow.

You really need to go play Quake3 and Unreal if that's your problem.

Thats BS. I am so tired of people saying a game is popular solely for the reasons they like it and I hate the standard response of go play Q3 or UT if you dont like it. I loved MOH from the first time I played it, but the drag ass speed has always been a peeve. MOH would be really cool at a faster speed if the net code didnt suck so bad. It isnt the speed that sucks, its the lack of skill in the development and the jerkiness that come with it. UT and Q3 are much smoother at faster speeds than MOH is at regular speed. why? People play certain games because the game play is good, not because it is historicly accurate, or the speed of the run, its all about the gameplay. Now historically accurate can enhance your gaming experience, but only if the game is solid to begin with.

The main reason most dont like the fast speed that came with SH, is that the rifle and sniper are now almost worthless and the animation went to shit. Yet in UT2003, the rifle and snipe weapons are still very effective and the most popular mod is the rifle only mod. Its not a speed problem, its a quality issue.

To the original question - SH sucks because it is an unfinished product. It is buggy and a resource hog. Graphics are far superior in UT2003 and the game runs much smoother. The SH single player was very good but short, I feel cheated on the MP.

After readin the first sentence of your post I lost interest.

Fact.. Speed is for cars, planes, and.. hover crafts nStuff.. Speed is not for WWII foot soldiers.. This is a fact..

The fact that I like it.. Big deal. The reason I say it's popular for this reason amongst other reasons is because most people will tell you they wouldn't go back to a faster moving FPS now. America'sArmy moves even slower than MOH.. And it BLOWS DOORS on this game.. You don't even know...

The funniest thing about all of this.. The same people that argue about it being to slow.. Are the same people that argue about realism, and how it's not realistic.

Fact, huh? I am pretty sure that foot soldiers would love to have a little extra speed while storming the beach and running for cover. But before we get started on that, who cares, it irrelevant. My stance on game speed, realistic game styling and realism mods has always been the same - Its all about game play, thats all i care about. I dont want a sim, I want a fun game to play. I have to admit, I did like the realistic side of MOH better than the cheesiness of RTCW, but red faction was pretty darn cool, but not really realistic.

My problem with your statement is that you assumed your preference of game styles is the only reason people play, and that if we dont agree, then we are noobs and should play Q3 or UT. Who is to say I cant make the opposite statement about game speed and tell you if you dont agree, you can go play operation flashpoint or americas army?
