Anyone else upset at how the MOHAA community is turning out?

I'm afraid it's just a fact of life as far as the whole FPS scene is concerned. Youngsters go for shooters, the older players go for air-combat sims.
Another fact of life...youngsters are, by definition, immature. That's what leads to all the hacking and cheating we see in most popular FPS's.

Yep...it sure sucks being an adult around here.

Fortunately MoH is just a light diversion for me. My real passion is WW2 air combat, and Il2 fills that spot very well just now.

I was just thinking the same thing. The trick is, I guess, to try to ignore the amazingly ignorant and offensive conversation that goes on as people wait to respawn. But it is very hard to ignore.

In the last week or so this has degenerated so much it is shameful. When you have one kid calling another "Nig..." or "Jew" or "Fag" it is bad enough, but when the majority of the players are participating it is really a drag.

These kids are ignorant, small minded, racist and homophobic, and proud of it.

I'm sure if we put our minds to it we can accumulate a list of adult and honest gamers for this FPS. We may end up short on clans, but at least we'll be able to enjoy sensible games.

I run a server for this game and I'm sure the final will have a password protection feature for MP.

The game will have mature adults, who will be outnumbered by the multitudes of silly kids. It will be a pain, but you have to deal with it everywhere these days, online.

well I suggest that the Moderators here construct a kind of 3 strikes program.All these kids who call names like stated above.All kids who constantly talk about,and design "warez".All kids that promote cheating as a HABIT(not as casual useage in single-player)i.e.:Showing others how to do the grenade trick....
I think all these people should be warned 3 times,then have their accounts erased,and their e-mail adress that they used BANNED form re-joining the forum under a different name.I myself am not "old" (24) and I TRY to be considerate,and I will admit I have used Foul Language towards others,but I have NEVER resorted to racial,or ethnic slurrs...
That type of behaviour is UNACCPTABLE,and the MODERATORS should not tolerate it,I Know BadScript and Wookster and the others do not read EVERY post so why not e-mail them and let them know who is being this way.....??

I think the greater problem is on the game servers.

But hey, it could be useful. Anyone who calls somebody else "gay" or uses other foul-mouthed abuse, you know it's got to be a brat. Take his name and pass it around to every adult who runs a server. That way the brats can be kicked before they've even had a chance to deploy their hacks.

Everytime i go into a "mature" cs server its weird that they get crazy when ppl cuss just a little bit. Common, open ur freakin eyes to the world. Your banning cussing, but in the meanwhile ppl are blowing each other up with nades and sliciing them and sniping them in the head... Older people like you are the ones ruining the gaming world, I admit sometimes young adults get annoying but so do you gray hairs too. So stop your bickering bout "young kids" ruining games, cuzz really im tired of all ur whining shit.

It is your predictability that is annoying. Constantly calling anyone and everyone fag, using racist comments, or talking about how anti-Semitic you are, is 90% of the time, a 11 or 12 year old kid, with no life.

Cussing is not a big deal to me, if it is used sparingly. I say,"Oh shit", or,"Damn, I fucked up on that run." That's no big deal. However, if you are just cussing over and over, constantly, in every sentence, and screaming in caps, that's annoying, childish, and doesn't belong online.

I don't know if others have my sentiments, but I can only take so much. If your an adult...you just act a certain way. And, adults can spot kids online, in seconds.

I'm with Wolfshook. Kids are the ones with the truly foul mouths, and kids are the ones using the hacks.

I have no problem with profanity either, but I do like to see it used 'well'...to empower a sentence, or express a feeling more forcefully. But to see it used as 'just another word' is tiresome, not least because it's being done by some brat who thinks everyone is impressed.

As for the cheats...yes, of course there are adults who cheat. But I'd qualify that by saying the ratio between brats and adults cheating must be around 1000/1. Bratz hackz, bratz warez. Wez allz knoze whoze thez sadz prikz arez whoz thinkz puttingz a "Z" onz thez endz ofz everyz wordz isz coolz...the same little pricks who can't stand losing and resort to cheating to make themselves feel adequate. Snort. Adequate? Hear me laugh, dudez.

shit devil mouse, only way u can get any bit good at MOHAA is from a game like CS, and u dont know shit bout cs players, i skool in mohaa because of cs, my opinion the newbs are peeps like u who havent played cs cause u get knocked in like 2 seconds one game i killed 160 guys with 60 deaths in less then an hour, with like 12 players, newbs are the peeps sayin shit like i played moh for PS so ill be good, the game is totally different

Not neccessarily Trix, though it does help. The problem with CS is that it's too deathmatch for MoH:AA's environments, every server I go on, I see people strafing and jumping circling each other with rifles. Snipers running and blasting people 1 m away, bazookas and panzerschreks people blasting people away in tight corridors. There is not enough of the flanking, covering fire, advancing, teamplay strategies that can make a multiplayer game great. And btw, a few full stops do help in reading your post Trix
