Whats also strange is that this week marks the anniversaries of the Apollo 1 fire on the launch pad and the Challenger explosion during takeoff...

Isnt today the anniversary of the challenger explosion? one of my teachers knew Krista McCollough the "Guest" on the challenger shuttle

there are also reports that it may have been the tire pressure of the space shuttles tires. the last communication was reportedly about the tire pressure... the pilot said 'roger' and was about to say something else and then the transmission ended. If the tires exploded it would have ripped open the landing gear doors exposing the bottom of the spacecraft to the heat of re-entry...
