are you typing the rcon "password" say this is a test text message???

you need the password..but you also need to be connect to the ded server by doing a rconaddress or rconconnect I think, and the rconpassword..then

you can type rcon "whateveryou want to say" without quotes

I am conencted to the dedicated sewrver via autokick....which has the ip...port number and rcon password saved in it and there is a definate connection there....its jus that it wont accept the "Say" command.

But also the console window that appears when u start the dedicated server (the window on the server) also wont accept the Say" command that is really weird....but i havent entered those other rcon commands u have talked about....only the rconpassword....how do i use the others and r they needed u think?

a known rcon problem "say command not working"
To fix this, restart the server not MOH but the whole server.

let me know if that helps

i've just tried that and it still says: unknown command "say"

Now this command works when u run the server with you playing init....but as soon as u launch a dedicated server (put a tick in the option "dedicated server") this command is no longer valid....and therefore my autokick say feature and announcements also dont work.

It's a nightmare i tell ya fire2:

If you go into the game and create a new server with the dedicated thing checked. It will be a dedicated server. But your local computer will still be the console. There for you do not need to use rcon to issue commands.

Try doing a real dedicated server by using the moh_spearhead_server.exe executable instead of creating a new game inside the menu. You may need to create a server.cfg file and attach it to the executable command line.

i do have a moh_server.exe if thats the one....but i dont hav the other one ur talkin about as far as i know.

I did try that but i couldnt connect to it....i dont really know what im doin when it comes to that 2b honest...bit new to it all.

i got it to load a map but thats about it....but i couldnt get in the game via another local computer so obviously i hadnt set it up right.

I dont really understand the difference between using that moh_server.exe and puttin a check in the dedicated server option in the game menu 2b honest
